The Cavs win!

This was an impressive win. A very comfortable lead fell to the wayside in the 4th quarter. Coach Mike Brown puts in Dwayne Jones? Was this his first minutes of the year? He got some key playing time when the lead was nearly dimishes in crucial "winning time", and he came through with some quality minutes. This is something that we saw when Anderson Varejao first set foot in the Q. "The Visionary" sees plenty of hope in Dwayne's game. Dwayne is a very skilled rebound and block artist that will make the most of his minutes. He is very agressive and has the ability to out-hussle his defender down the court. He does lack in shooting ability, but just like Anderson, he makes up for it in other ways. Another bright spot for Cleveland basketball.

Euclid Corridor Project

The concept of the corridor is very exciting. We must not be too near-sighted when viewing this project. This is a project that is nationally, quite exclusive. RTA is bringing technology that is only found in Europe. Cleveland is one of a few projects of this type which gives us a view of the transportation of the future. The opportunity that comes with the project is the most exciting. This opens up a channel that will be home to tons of economic development, retail, housing, entertainment, you name it! This connects the 2 areas of highest employment levels, Public Square and University Circle. Imagine what this will do for the city. Close your eyes and visualize....Or just check out this link http://euclidtransit.org/euclid_corridor_project/video.asp

Cavaliers Update

The Cavaliers 89-76 victory over the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday was a long-awaited road victory. The Cavaliers this season have been off to an awfully quiet start at a record of 16-11. Some are speculating that this team doesn't have what it takes. I disagree.

Mike Brown is getting his new players a little experience, trying out different sets, and mixing and matching player combinations. It's a great sign that Lebron is looking to pass for the 1st 3 quarters and is taking over in the 4th. Let the team gel and I promise you that you won't be disappointed when it comes time for the playoffs.

Indians Updates

The Cleveland Indians have recently bolstered their bullpen for 2007. Recent additions are veterans Roberto Hernandez, Joe Borowski, and Aaron Fultz. They are also very near to signing Keith Foulke which would solidify the bullpen. This bullpen could be the best in the big leagues in 2007.

Restaurant Spotlight: Tommy's

Since 1972 this Coventry restaurant (Cleveland Heights) has been a favorite. It serves healthy food but it is best known for its milkshakes. The milkshakes are "the best in the U.S.A." That's not just my opinion, it's also the word on the street. All the best flavors, creative originals, and milkshake enough to serve 2 or 3 people. Gotta love Tommy's!

P.S. Coventry is perfect for strolling, checking out the shops, grabbing a bite, and finishing the night at some trendy bars.
